By the standards of the smallest schools in the state, hardly anyone endeavors to field teams in as many sports as Lake Arthur. In the spring, for instance, the Panthers not only have boys and girls track teams, but squads for baseball and softball too. And Lake Arthur has been successful too.

2011…Big plays from senior Ever Tarango in the quarter helps the Panthers reverse a regular loss to Clovis Christian. This time, the state title belongs to Lake Arthur following a 54-26 victory
2009…A wild state championship game with Hondo Valley ends with Lake Arthur winning 72-70 to finish off a 9-2 season

2007…After three runner-up finishes (1996, 2001, 2002) and 14 years away, Panthers grab the 6-man blue trophy once more. Final: Lake Arthur 60, NMSD 37
1993…Filling the trophy case with a third gridiron crown, Lake Arthur caps season with a 70-40 victory over Roy
1988…Led by coach James Moor, Panthers go back-to-back by beating Mountainair 60-22 in state finale
1987…Lake Arthur grabs first-ever state championship when football team smashed Corona 44-2 in the 6-man title game
