At 5-11, Trujillo can drill an outside shot – like when she opened the Coyotes’ state quarterfinal basketball win with two 3-pointers against Volcano Vista. The daughter of two coaches, Trujillo is called a “gym rat” by Roswell girls hoops coach Joe Carpenter and that, no doubt, has helped with the shooting touch.
Marika is good-humored and can take a joke, but she’s pretty serious about doing well in the classroom and in athletics. She holds a 3.25 GPA and is very competitive in basketball, volleyball and track & field for the Coyotes.

The Coyotes’ boys basketball team was undefeated in February and Olesinski was a substantial part of that as Roswell geared up to defend its Class 4A state title. At 6-foot, 8-inches tall, Marek can bang inside when required. But the big guy can hit the outside shot and that poses a big problem for opponents.
Good student? Put it this way…mediocre students don’t get accepted to the Air Force Academy. That’s where Olesinski will play his college ball.
