Pojoaque’s Elks and Elkettes have been something to contend with when it comes to postseason tournaments. And they’ve won it all in quite a few too.

Baseball
2005…Before he won state as volleyball coach, Brian Ainsworth guided Pojoaque to state Class 3A baseball championship with 10-1 drubbing of Raton in finale

1984…Two titles in three years as Pojoaque dismisses Jal 13-6 in Class 1A-2A championship game

1982…Coach Tom McReynolds is at the helm for Elks when they dispose of Portales 10-3 for Class 3A honors

1973…First title on the diamond for Pojoaque when the Elks beat Cuba for Class 2A crown

Girls Basketball
2009…Pojoaque asserts dominance over Class 3A field and wins it all again by knocking off Portales 44-38

2008…Elkettes, led by coach Lanse Carter, win all-district battle with St. Michael’s 46-39 to come away with title

1998…Perfect 28-0 season for Pojoaque and coach Matt Martinez, culminated by a 67-63 victory over Kirtland Central

Boys Basketball
2008…Big day in Pojoaque as Elks grab first boys hoops state championship. Class 3A final: Pojoaque 50, West Las Vegas 46

Volleyball
2011…Pojoaque goes unbeaten, stakes claim to being best team in state regardless of class and finishes it off with a 3-1 defeat of Portales in Class 3A state championship match
2010…Elkettes sweep by Portales in the Class 3A finals to claim state crown for a second time
2006…Pojoaque, under coach Brian Ainsworth, claim first state title in volleyball by beating district rival West Las Vegas 3-1 in 3A championship match

Boys Soccer
1989…Pojoaque was a formidable foe on the pitch in the late ’80s and the Elks were co-champs this year after tying Sandia Prep 0-0 in Class 1A-3A finale
